Healthy body, Healthy pocketbook, Save money

What is the secret for saving money with just a few habit changes and modifications in daily routines? The savings can amount to $2000-$5000 a year. For example, a decrease in the amount of food required each day, losing or maintaining weight and having the motivation to eat nutritious meals and snacks prepared from scratch can lead to lots of savings. Cutting down on processed food purchases and consumption, reducing the number of times a you eat out and cutting down on eating fast foods will also show great savings. Drinking water instead of sugary beverages and eating fruits, vegetables, legumes, nuts and seeds and finding ways to eat smaller portions, will lead to overall reduction in spending.

Less food and beverages will be purchased during the year and impulse buying will also be much reduced. The savings will also be realized from reduced health costs in the form of prescriptions, over the counter medication and health supplies. Doctor visits, need for tests and special medical procedures and the use of less gas, because of reduced transportation to the doctor’s office will also contribute to savings. Ultimately, there will be a reduction in lost wages due to sick days. Can this really work? Is this too simplistic? The secret is that it works. I invite you to try doing some or all of the things listed. It’s amazing to see the health and pocketbook changes that will take place.
